IoT solution provider for energy and building monitoring

RCT Remote Control Technology, with headquarters in Gladenbach, Germany, is one of the leading IoT solution providers for the smart remote monitoring of tank installations in demanding Ex environments in the energy industry and of operating parameters in building technology. The company supports energy suppliers, petrol station operators as well as public utilities, municipalities and property management companies on their way to digital transformation – and opens up the potential of the “Internet of Things” for more efficient business processes.

Developer and manufacturer of hardware solutions

RCT develops and manufactures transmitter units for intelligent recording of tank levels or operating states – for local and global networks. The range of solutions includes level monitoring of liquid and gaseous media in storage tanks such as liquefied petroleum gas, heating oil, diesel and A1 fuels as well as technical gases, water and chemicals in stationary and mobile applications. RCT also offers smart solutions for remote monitoring of buildings and facilities. This includes recording of electricity consumption and monitoring of movement, temperature, pressure, humidity as well as heating, cooling and air conditioning systems.

With certifications according to ATEX, CE, ISO, QPS, TÜV and others, RCT’s products developed and manufactured in Germany stand for safe and tested device technology. For secure and fast data transmission, the manufacturer relies on state-of-the-art transmission technologies such as Cellular 4G/3G/2G, NB-IoT, Sigfox, LoRa-WAN, CatM1, LTE, WiFi, RF and GPRS.

Developers and programmers of software solutions

With its IoT platform “RCT Monitor” as well as customer-specific IoT platforms, RCT provides cloud-based solutions for applications in the “Internet of Things” of the energy world. This enables the simple, secure and scalable networking of physical objects such as IoT transmitter units for tank and object monitoring and of computer-based systems. Within this environment, all data from countless IoT devices from RCT – but also from other types of devices – can be recorded, stored, exchanged and evaluated via the IoT platform.

By analyzing the data, it is possible to gain valuable insights, make informed and strategic decisions much easier, and also develop new business models. The range of services offered by the IoT platform includes smart applications for inventory management and billing as well as App solutions for logistics processes – web-based, via smartphone App or voice control.

Service provider for IoT system technology

To complete its range of services, RCT offers its customers a comprehensive service program: to ensure greater safety and availability of systems as well as more simplicity and convenience in the energy management. The range of services extends from individual services to complete service packages: from installation and commissioning, maintenance and testing, troubleshooting and tank inspection to integration into system technology, provision of connectivity, App development, energy management as well as monitoring and data analysis.
